Have leftover canned pumpkin and you’re not sure what to do with it?! Make this gluten free + taste safe play dough!! It's a great way to use it up and the kids are sure to love it.
Did you know traditional Play Doh isn’t gluten free? You might be thinking, uhh you’re not supposed to eat it! But the problem is kids tend to put everything in their mouth ( including their hands ) even if only on accident. So it’s something we’ve had to find alternatives for with my son with Celiac Disease.
This 2 Ingredient Pumpkin Play Dough has such a cool texture and smells good enough to eat! Luckily it’s also taste safe!
Pumpkin Play Dough
1 can ( 16 oz ) pumpkin purée
2-3 cups cornstarch
1 tablespoon pumpkin spice ( optional )
Gradually add the cornstarch to the pumpkin and mix the ingredients together until it’s no longer sticky. Add additional cornstarch a 1/4 cup at a time if it’s still sticking to your hands! Store in an air tight container in the fridge.
This is a stickier dough so make sure to play with it on a sheet pan or surface that’s easy to clean! Share this with a friend and follow @eatprettydarling for more gluten free kids ideas!!
